DESCRIPTION:Shepherd’s Cross will be returning this year with their Pumpkin Festival\, fun for the whole family. They have been hosting a fall event for three decades. The pumpkin festival will run from September 26– November 4. Hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 9a – 6:30p. They’ll also be open on October 31. \nShepherd’s Cross Pumpkin Festival is a harvest celebration held at an authentic working farm\, just north of Claremore on scenic Route 66. Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country. Enjoy wholesome fun for the entire family including over 50 activities\, a hay maze\, festive outdoor & indoor games\, farm animal petting barn\, farm demonstrations and fall story time. The farm’s focus is educational\, mingled with fall festive fun. We will supply truckloads of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase\, as well as straw bales & cornstalks for your fall decorating. There is a wide range of pumpkin prices\, starting at $1.50 each. \nCome see our walk-through Pumpkin Patch\, Game Area\, and Hay Maze. Pumpkins are sanitized daily\, and games are sanitized throughout the day. Suggested donation is $5 per person (suggested – not required). \nPumpkin Patch Packages are available for $9\, $12 & $15. They include a pumpkin\, wagon ride and take-home fall craft.  Size of pumpkin varies with package price and are available while supplies last. \nWagon rides in the hay meadow are $6.50 per person; children two and under are free. They offer youth\, walk trot\, loping and ranch classes in the ALL BREED classes. The OBHA have several ALL BREED divisions to win high point awards in! The largest classes over the past several years have been the All Breed classes! Their overall goal is to create a fun\, family environment for all horse lovers to show their horses and provide the challenge of horse show competition. \nThe Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association (OBHA) was formed & incorporated in 1981. The purpose of the club is to make the public aware of and to encourage interest in Buckskin\, Dun\, Red Dun and Grulla horses through horse show competition. \nThe club offers an avenue to youth by showing them the pride\, excitement and challenge involved in the raising\, breeding\, and showing of Buckskin horses. \nOBHA offers classes for most everyone! SUMMARY:National Night Out Back to School Bash
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe Claremore Police Department\, Volunteers for Youth and the Healthy Community Partnership are hosting the “Back to School Bash at National Night Out” on Tuesday\, October 3rd from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Claremore Lake Park. Local organizations listed below will give away free school supplies and family resource information. There will be several family-friendly activities including live music\, fun\, and play features for the children. Free pizza\, drinks\, and sno-cones will be available. Claremore Police Officers will be on-hand to answer any questions and to interact with anyone interested in promoting safety and security within our community. During the daytime hours (8 am to noon & 1 – 6 pm) on the same day free school immunizations will be provided at the Rogers County Health Department. \n“National Night Out is a nationally led campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Our hope is that the result will be an enhanced relationship between community members and our law enforcement officers\,” said Claremore Police Chief\, Stan Brown. “Engaging community is the prism this concept is reflected through\,” added Chief Brown. \nAttendees will park at the rodeo grounds and the parking lot adjacent to the splash pad will be reserved for handicap parking. \nLive music will be provided by The Roy Weathers Band with the ROSCO Fun Center band playing prior to the main performance. Sponsors for the event include the City of Claremore\, the CPD Chaplains\, the Citizens Police Academy\, Healthy Community Partnership\, Volunteers for Youth’s PAL+ Program\, and the TSET Healthy Living Program of Rogers County. \n

DESCRIPTION:The Annual Route 66 Cruisers Car & Motorcycle Show will be held on beautiful Claremore Lake in Claremore Oklahoma\, September 29th. The cruisers will meet in NeMar Center 4-6pm\, then cruise to Claremore Lake for a free cookout for car show entries and their guest. \nSeptember 30th Car Show at Claremore Lake. There will be 37 different classes with professional judging. Specialty trophies awarded for Best Ford\, GM\, Mopar\, motorcycle\, Best Rat Rod\, Best Paint and Best of Show. A $50 QuikTrip gas card will be awarded for distance driven. Those pre-registered and traveling over 75 miles will be entered into a drawing for a free hotel room. Contestant drawings held throughout the day for cash & prizes. \nThis show benefits Children of Akdar Shrine and Local Charities.\nRegistration: Pre-register by mail postmarked by Sept. 15th\, 2023 for $20. SUMMARY:DUCK BLIND DRAW - 2023 DUCK SEASON
DESCRIPTION:The City of Claremore Parks and Recreation Department\, Lake Division will be conducting a draw for the twenty (20) duck blind slots on Claremore Lake. \nThe drawing to be held at the Claremore Community Center located at 2301 N. Sioux Ave. (the corner of Stuart Roosa & Sioux Ave.) on Saturday\, September 30\, 2023.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  You must have your Oklahoma driver’s license\, Oklahoma hunting license\, Oklahoma HIP permit and a current paid utility stub with your address or proof of exemption (City I.D.).  Drawing for Claremore utility customers will begin immediately following registration.   A second drawing will begin immediately following the first draw for any remaining slots.  All persons are eligible for the second draw.  This draw is for any Non-Claremore utility customers and any city utility customer that did not get a blind on the first draw.  Persons must be 18 years old and older to draw for blind slots.  Only one draw per household.  \nNo blinds shall be moved from designated location.  No hunting other than from duck blinds located at designated slot locations.  No gas motors may be used on any boats to go to and from your blind.  No ATV’s may be used on city property at any time.  No goose hunting except during regular duck season on Claremore Lake.  No early goose hunting or late goose hunting.  At the close of Duck Season all blinds\, whether built by current blind slot permit holder or not will be removed from Claremore Lake and any City property\, by the current blind slot permit holder within 60 days of the close of Duck Season.   Hunting times are from ½ hr before sunrise to 10:00 am and from 3:00pm to sunset.  No Blind or Blind Slot shall be sub-leased\, rented or money or goods exchanged for the use of Duck Blind.  No one shall guide or charge for services in regard to use of Duck Blind Slot on Claremore Lake.  \n  Notice: Any violation of state or city regulations will be subject to applicable fines and/or permanent loss of hunting privileges. \nPlease contact the Rangers office at Claremore Lake at (918)341-1238 for further information or questions.
