The City of Claremore Public Works Department, in partnership with Claremore Public Schools, is proud to empower young minds through an annual fifth-grade art contest focused on pollution prevention. This initiative encourages students to creatively address the importance of protecting our community and waterways from pollutants.
This year, we are thrilled to recognize Kylie Cleary from Catalayah Elementary as the contest winner. Kylie’s design will be displayed on a city trash truck for the next five years, ensuring her impactful artwork reaches audiences across Claremore.
The unveiling took place during the recent City Council Meeting, where Kylie was recognized for her exceptional work. She was joined by her parents, Stormwater Director Scott Vaughn, Catalayah Assistant Principal Jennifer Basks, and members of the City Council.
We extend our congratulations to Kylie and commend all participating students for their outstanding efforts in promoting a cleaner, more sustainable future for our community.
