Claremore Outdoor Warning Sirens Update

Our outdoor warning sirens are here to alert those outside to take shelter and check for more information during severe weather.

Here’s what to know:
• Sirens sound for 3 minutes when a Tornado Warning impacts the Claremore area
• They are meant for people outdoors. Always have another way to receive alerts indoors. Rogers County Emergency Management offers free emergency notifications. You can sign up at https://www.rogerscounty.org/187/Emergency-Management.
• There is no “all-clear” signal

What’s new:
Instead of sounding repeatedly during a warning, sirens will now sound once for 3 minutes per Tornado Warning. This change helps protect the system and ensure it’s ready when you need it most.
Sirens are tested regularly and a private contractor performs annual inspections on the system. The City of Claremore will post notifications ahead of any audible tests.
