Claremore Lake Lights will shine through New Year

Happy Holidays, Claremore! From the charm of our downtown, to our southern hospitality, something magical happens across our community during this time of year.

I encourage you to take advantage of all Claremore offers during the holidays. As you host family and guests, explore our unique retail options, enjoy a delicious meal at one of many incredible dining locations and end your night with a drive through the beautiful lights at Claremore Lake.

The Claremore Lake Lights are back for the second year and have quickly become a community holiday tradition. This year, visitors will notice new light displays added along the path. The city plans to continue adding lights each year, offering a unique experience with each visit.

The display begins at the lake’s Blue Starr Road entrance and lights are dispersed throughout the park. Photo opportunities are available throughout the display. Use the hashtag #claremorelakelights to capture your and share your memories from this exciting event.

The lake will be illuminated through the New Year, concluding on January 6. The lights begin each night at dusk, and there is no cost to enjoy.

This incredible community event was made possible by the efforts of our Claremore Parks and Recreation and Claremore Power and Light departments. Each team has dedicated many hours creatively building unique light displays. This event would not be possible without their efforts. I would like to recognize Mary Taber and Todd Rue for their roles with this project. The Claremore Lake Light display would not be possible without their leadership and vision.

I look forward to the start of another exciting year for our community. I am confident 2023 will be a year filled with growth, development and progress.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from my family to yours. May the last week of this year be filled with laughter, joy, and the discovery of Claremore’s true magic during the holidays.

All my best,

John W. Feary
