Save the Date for 77th Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo!

We are less than one month away from the start of the 77th Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo! Held Memorial Day Weekend, this annual event features the best rodeo entertainment, including bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, mutton bustin’, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding and much more!

Drawing an average of nearly 750 contestants and an estimated 15,000 spectators, the rodeo is a unique experience, complete with a family-friendly culture and a dynamic history showcasing all that Claremore has to offer.

The six-time winning PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year, the Will Rogers Stampede is made possible by community support, a dedicated committee and an incredible group of volunteers. With the support of local donors, the City of Claremore, Rogers County Board of County Commissioners and the Will Rogers Round Up Club have made significant infrastructure improvements to the rodeo grounds over the past several years. These include installing LED lighting, new fencing and gates, updates to the entrance of the rodeo grounds, additions to parking areas and seating, and improvements to rodeo pens and panels.

This year, rodeo guests will enjoy new women’s bathroom facilities and a new concession stand. We have also received a grant from the Cherokee Nation to build a new hospitality shelter.

As a result of these continued improvements, the Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo was named a Top Five Finalist for the PRCA Medium Rodeo of the Year in 2022. This is an incredible achievement for our community and a testament to the dedication, commitment and passion of our rodeo committee and generous volunteers.

If you have not already, I encourage you to secure your rodeo tickets today. It will be a weekend of celebration with other community events, such as a special-themed Food Truck Thursday, taking place to welcome in rodeo guests.

You can find more information about the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo and purchase tickets at visitclaremore.com/rodeo.

I hope to see you Memorial Day Weekend at the rodeo!

All my best,

John W. Feary
