Claremore Electric

Claremore Electric is your public power source. We purchase our electric power from the Grand River Dam Authority and use our infrastructure to deliver it to more than 11,000 homes and businesses.

It is our goal to provide our customers with the highest level of service and solid reliability at the lowest cost. Revenues collected by Claremore Electric are used to pay salaries for police officers, firefighters and other important City of Claremore personnel.

Report your power outage anytime by calling 918-283-8299. Our fully automated system will require the phone number associated with your utility account or your utility account number to report your outage to the Electric line crew on call.

Solar Energy Information

City Ordinances and Regulations

The City of Claremore retains the ability and right to provide utilities to its residents. The provision of these services are not subject to Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OAC) regulation. The City is not obligated to abide by any statutes or OAC provisions that require it to buy back excess solar energy produced.

Ordinance-Section 50.17(E) states:

The City of Claremore does not purchase excess solar energy generated by the customer’s
generating facility.
