Fireworks Permit

Fireworks Rules & Regulations

City Council voted on June 1st to eliminate the permit requirement for fireworks within the City limits. However, there are still rules and regulations to follow.

Fireworks in the City limits are only allowed on July 3rd, 4th & 5th from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

  • Fireworks must be Class C 1.4G consumer grade, which is what you can purchase from a fireworks stand.
  • Fireworks must be discharged on a non-combustible surface of sufficient size to contain the entire ground portion of the display and not closer than 25 feet from any permanent structure.
  • Citizens cannot use or discharge fireworks on public streets, public easements, or public property unless approved by the City of Claremore Special Events committee.

If you are having a group of 25+ people for a 4th of July event with fireworks, it still must be approved by the Special Events Committee. Call the Clerk’s Office at (918) 341-1325 ext. 140 to be added to the agenda. Meeting Dates: June 24th at 10:30 am.
