Basketball/Volleyball Courts

The Recreation Center has a multipurpose gymnasium that can be set up for basketball or volleyball games. If the other court is not occupied you may play full court, otherwise half-court only. Pick-up games are limited to 30 minutes per game.

Shirts and shoes are required at all times in gym area. Spitting on the floor is prohibited. No dunking, cursing, fighting, tobacco products, chewing gum, food or drinks, street shoes or dark-soled shoes are allowed in the gymnasium. Rules must be followed at all times or you will be asked to leave.

Racquetball Court

There is one racquetball court inside the Recreation Center. You must reserve the court to play. There is a one-hour limit on the court. Racquetball equipment is required. No tennis racquets are allowed. Approved eye protection (sport or safety goggles) is required. Sunglasses are not approved eye protection and will not be allowed. No street shoes or black-soled shoes are allowed on the court.

Tennis / Pickleball Courts

There are 2 tennis & 4 pickleball courts available for reservation in two-hour time slots. You must reserve a court to play. To reserve the tennis / pickleball courts for individual play, please contact the Claremore Recreation Center at 918.341.4516 ext. 0 The cost is $4 per person per 2 hour time period/$6 for per person for 2 – 3 hours.

The Claremore Tennis Association (CTA) in conjunction with the Claremore Recreation Center offers tennis league play to various groups in the community. The CTA utilizes the tennis courts from October 1 – April 30 for group usage. For information on joining the CTA, please contact Jeep Pritchard at 918-521-1460.

Weight Room

The Recreation Center has a state of the art 8,000 square foot weight room that features LifeFitness, Hammer Strength and Iron Grip equipment.

Walking/Jogging Track

The walking / jogging track is located upstairs above the gymnasium. The indoor track is 1/10 mile, and the outside track is 1/3 mile.

  • The inside lane (closest to rail) is for runners only. All other lanes are for walking only.
  • Strollers are allowed in a single lane and must be smaller than the lane.
  • No jogging or running with strollers.
  • The walking / jogging track is free for Senior Citizens.
  • Spitting on the floor is prohibited.
  • No chewing gum, tobacco products, food, or drink is allowed on the walking / jogging track.

Swimming Pool

The Recreation Center features a Junior Olympic-size swimming pool that is 25 yards by 25 meters with a beach-style zero-entry pool and a one-meter diving board. Pool hours are from 8am-5pm and the pool opens at noon to the general public (non members).

Daycare

Child Care

Child care is provided at no cost to members and their children who are using the Recreation Center facility during the following hours:

Monday – Friday – 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday – 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday – 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

There is a charge of $1.50 per child per hour for non-members. You may pay in cash at the front desk or use a prepaid card. Prepaid cards are $9 each and are available at the front desk.

A parent, grandparent, or legal guardian must register a child. The guardian must present identification or a registration slip to pick up the child. Guardians must not leave the recreation center premises while their child is in the childcare center. If a parent should leave the facility, child care center privileges will be permanently revoked.

You may register a maximum of 2 babysitting children (children other than your own). This is to ensure the best possible service for our customers and their children.

Rules

  • There is a 2-hour maximum limit for using the child care center.
  • Children must be between the ages six months to 12 years.
  • Children must be clean, including clothing. Attendants are not responsible for diaper changing or bottle feedings. Should either require attention the parent will be called. If a child is being potty-trained, please have him/her in a pull-up or plastic pants.
  • Any child showing symptoms of fever, rash, chicken pox, pink eye, vomiting, diarrhea, or head lice will not be allowed in the child care center. If you child has non-contagious symptoms, you must have a note from your doctor before your child can return to the center.
  • Please allow your child adequate time to adjust to the center. If a child becomes upset and cannot be calmed, the parent will be called after 10 minutes.
  • Unruly children will not be tolerated. Children who are repeatedly disruptive will have their privileges revoked.
  • We reserve the right to refuse to admit any child. Other rules may be posted in the child care center. Rules, rates, and hours are subject to change.
